Organized jointly with Pravega 2017 (the IISc UG Fest), "The Been's Call - An Evening with Dagar Vani" featured a Rudra Veena recital by Ustad Bahauddin Dagar, hailing from the Dagar Vani. He was accompanied on the Pakhawaj by Pandit Sanjay Agle, who has received talim in both the Nana Pahnse and Kudao Singh Paramparas of Pakhawaj.
Ustad Bahauddin Dagar began his recital with an Alap-Jod-Jhalla in Rag Shree, followed by Dhrupad set to Matta Tal (9 beats). Next he rendered an Alap-Jod-Jhalla in Rag Yaman, along with a Dhrupad set to Chautal (12 beats). The concert was followed by an interview, where Ustad Bahauddin Dagar talked about Dhrupad, the Dagar Vani and the Rudra Veena. Concert details: Venue: J. N. Dr. Radhika Joshi Ray, an upcoming vocalist of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana. She is a disciple of Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar who in turn is a disciple of none other than the Gayan Saraswati Vid. Kishori Amonkar. Dr. Ray will be accompanied on the Harmonium by Pt. Ravindra Katoti, and on the Tabla by Sri Sagar Bharathraj. The program consists of a lecture demonstration on the "khasiyat" (characteristic traits) of the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana, with an emphasis on jod-rags. It will be followed by a concert.

The event "Journey to Agra" featured a lecture demonstration by the present doyenne of Agra Gharana, Vid. Lalith J. Rao. The topic was "An Introduction to the Agra-Atrauli Gharana" and the history of the Agra Gharana, from its roots in the Nauhar Vani to the present day masters, was highlighted. Short tracks of renowned masters were also played to highlight the essential characteristic traits. Vid. Lalith J. Rao also highlighted the important features of the gharana, like the Nom-Tom Alap by live demonstrations.
The second half of the event featured a vocal recital by Vid. Bharathi Prathap, a senior disciple of Vid. Lalith J Rao. She was accompanied by Sri Sumith Naik on Tabla, and Sri Madhusudan Bhat on the Harmonium. Vocal support was provided by Smt. Meera Sahasrabuddhe and Sri Manohar Patwardhan, both disciples of Vid. Lalith J. Rao. She began the recital with a Nom-Tom in Rag Bihag, followed by bandishes in Rag Bihag and Rag Malati Bihag. It was followed by two bandishes in Rag Bageshri. The recital concluded with a short exposition of Rag Surdasi Malhar.
